CALENDER

The quality of a clear sheet is defined by the calender unit . For this reason, particular attention must be paid to the chromium plated and high-mirror polished solid calender rolls. These represent the quality for producing sheets with perfect surfaces. .

The calender is a series of hard pressure rollers used to finish or smooth a sheet of plastic materials.

These rollers are designed on vertical direction for PP, PS, PET however, for PET sheet only, rolls design as horizontal direction to reach high thicknesses while keeping homogeneity.

Kuzey calender units provide high precision concentricity and flexural strength, even the thinnest of sheets can be manufactured with extreme accuracy. Each Roll is controlled with a separate thermo-regulators. Thermo-regulators can be adjusted separately from 10 – 90° C. Calender Thickness Motion control is by the servo and gearbox system.

INLINE SYSTEMS

When it comes to producing thermoformed products on a larger scale, particularly when frequent product changes are not a requirement, the most efficient and cost-effective production process involves an inline combination of the sheet extrusion line and the thermoforming machine.

KUZEY’s inline extrusion lines are designed to seamlessly integrate with the thermoforming process. They intelligently adjust the calender speed and extruder output, maintaining a consistent and uninterrupted production flow, even during adjustments made to the thermoforming machine. This integrated system is adaptable to virtually all brands of thermoforming machines, providing a cohesive and efficient production setup that optimizes your manufacturing output.

MONO LAYER EXTRUSION LINE

Single-layer plastic extruder is mainly applied in the production of single plastic PP, PS, and other materials. These plastic sheets can then be processed into plastic containers, plastic cups, plastic lids, etc., widely used in plastic packaging areas, with the help of a thermoforming machine. Our single-layer plastic extruder is equipped with a fully automatic feeding device. This innovative feature eliminates the need for manual feeding, providing a smoother, more efficient production process. Automatic feeders ensure continuous raw material supply, reducing the risk of interruptions and maximizing productivity. Additionally, our extrusion outputs are equipped with melt measurement pumps. The pump enables precise control of the extrusion process, providing consistent output. Working in conjunction with the melt measurement pump, our single-layer plastic extruder can achieve automatic closed-loop pressure and speed control to produce high-quality and uniform products. To facilitate ease of use, the entire machine is equipped with a PLC control system. This advanced system can automatically control various parameters, including adjustment, operation, feedback, and alarms. With the PLC control system, the operator has full control over the extrusion process, facilitating adjustments and ensuring the highest level of precision and efficiency. From a design perspective, our single-layer plastic extruders are carefully designed to meet the industry’s needs. The machine is compact and ergonomic, making it easy to install and operate. Additionally, it is equipped with a cooling system that provides optimal operating conditions and prevents overheating. Furthermore, the machine is designed with a strong and durable structure to ensure longevity and reliability.

CO-EXTRUSION THERMOFORMING SHEET LINE

Co-extrusion is a method of obtaining a single product using multiple extrusion machines in a single mold. To combine multiple different raw materials, a separate extruder is used to process each plastic raw material, and all these different plastic raw materials emerge as a product from a common co-extrusion mold. The molten plastic raw materials continue their movements separately within the mold for a considerable period and are brought together close to the mold exit.

It can be produced from materials such as PET, A-PET, PS, PE, PP, EVA, EVOH. (A/A/A) – original PET is used in all layers. Can be in contact with food.

(A/B/A) – the inner layer B – approximately 70-80% recycled PET is used. Produced with Co-Ex technology. Can be in contact with food.

R-PET – PET obtained from 100% recycling.

PET film performs very well in forming.

MULTI LAYER THERMOFORMING SHEET EXTRUSION LINE

EVOH resin boasts outstanding barrier capabilities, making it a go-to choice for a wide array of applications including food packaging, automotive fuel tanks, films, and heating pipes. Its versatility shines through in accommodating various production requirements seamlessly via the EVOH multi-layer film extrusion line.

Introduction
EVOH resin, a high-barrier ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, boasts an oxygen resistance that surpasses PE (polyethylene) by a staggering ten thousand times. Its stellar barrier properties, along with its excellent formability and eco-friendly characteristics, have catapulted it into various high-end material sectors such as automotive fuel tanks, film production, food containers, and floor heating pipes. Often blended with other resins in multilayer extrusions, EVOH finds its prime utility in food packaging, preserving the quality and aroma of food for extended periods, even without the need for preservatives.
The EVOH multi-layer film extrusion line is engineered to craft multilayer films endowed with exceptional barrier qualities. This line ensures meticulous control over the thickness of each film layer, thereby optimizing its barrier performance. Furthermore, its adaptability enables the production of films with diverse specifications tailored to specific application needs. Its exceptional weather resistance and gas barrier attributes further broaden its utility, making it a viable material for heating pipes in building constructions.
